Please note that as of 2020, following AMP instructions, Puerto Barillas no longer provides services for immigration and customs following strict measures from the government. Our pool is surrounded by palapas where you can relax or hang out with friends and family while watching the children enjoy the pool. Take a dip in our pool while you work on your tan. Prefer the shade, our pool is surrounded by our palapas where you can enjoy your meal or work from with our reliable wifi.
The convenient store adjacent to our reception office has all of the basic needs : from sunscreen to drinks and toothbrushes and toothpaste. If you forgot something for your stay, we’ve got you covered. We also have souveniers, to remember the trip of a lifetime.
Available to rent out for your own boats. We have a total of 20 spaces that measure 10 meters x 6 meters appropriate for larger boats and 20 spaces that measure 6.3 meters x 3.9 meters appropriate for smaller boats and jet skis. Email us at info@puertobarillas.com for pricing and availability.
1. What time is Check In / Check Out?
Check In: 3:00 p.m. (UTC-6) Check Out: 12:00 p.m. (UTC-6) Please note that if you are arriving after 5:30 p.m. please contact our office at 2675-1131 or send us an email at info@puertobarillas.com at least 12 hours prior to arrival to ensure we can check you in.
When available, we can offer a complimentary 30 minutes extra time in the lodge. However, after 30 minutes, there is a $10.00 charge for any additional hours (or 30 minutes). $10.00 per hour. More than 5 hours, an extra night. Please note that this is subject to availability and needs to check in the reception if available.

Opening hours – Monday-Saturday: 8:00 am- 5:30pm. Sunday: 7:30 am- 5:30pm
Customer Service (phone): Sunday- Saturday: 8:00 am- 5:30pm
3. What is the capacity of your lodges?
Please note we are very strict with themaximum occupancy of our lodges.
Treehouses: Our rates include 3 people. However, we allow an additional person, child under 11 for $10.00 a night.
Jungle Villa: Our rates include a maximum occupancy of 6 people.We will not allow additional people from the maximum capacity in the lodging.All accommodations include breakfast: basic delicious typical breakfast (eggs your choice over flour tortilla, fired beans and plantain) or 2 pancakes, include orange juice and coffee. For additional food and beverage: we offer a la carte restaurant.
4. What is your Cancellation policy?
Our policy is 0-5 days prior to arrival, reservations are non refundable from 0 to 5 days prior to arrival. For holidays such as Easter Break (Semana Santa), Agostinas, and New Years (27th of December- 1st of January) reservations are non refundable.
We understand there are some last minute emergencies, however we need to have proof of the emergency, and it is only valid on a case by case basis. In These cases there is a penalty fee, service charge fee (administrative fee) depending on the reservation made (within 3-5 days prior to arrival) $35.00 minimum penalty fee on emergencies.. For last minute cancellations (only in Emergencies) in less than 48 hours , we will charge a one night fee plus $35.00 (for more than 1 night reservation).
